Sakhi’s Economic Empowerment program is a powerhouse of resources for survivors of domestic violence who seek to build economically secure and sustainable lives for themselves and their children.
The cornerstone of this program is the Swarna Chalasani Scholarship Fund, through which women can build skills to strengthen their capacity to live financially independent lives.
Last week, we hosted a fundraiser to support the Scholarship Fund at the Sundaram Tagore Gallery in New York City. Thank you to Sakhi community who showed up on NYC’s first snow-day of 2013 – to uphold and provide critical resources to women working to build a life of self-sufficiency.
If you missed the event and wish to support women secure educational opportunities, you can make a recurring monthly donation of any amount here.
