Internship Application Process

How often does Sakhi offer internships and for how long? 

Sakhi offers semester-based and yearly internships in each of its four program areas, depending on need and capacity. Internships last a minimum of 3-months time.

How do I apply for a Sakhi internship?

In order to apply for internships, please submit your resume and cover letter to volunteer@sakhi.org. In your cover letter, please be sure to include the following:

  • Which specific internship you are applying for and why you are interested in this program area. (Click here to view internship choices and descriptions.);
  • Three concrete goals for your internship experience at Sakhi; and,
  • Any South Asian languages which you are comfortable using in conversation. We particularly seek interns with fluency in Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, and/or Urdu.

Application Deadline: Until positions are filled. Intern applications will be reviewed on a first-come basis, so apply now!
